Your Role

The SHE Specialist oversees and actively supports safety, health and environmental programs, training, inspections and related documentation and recordkeeping. You are part of the SHE team that supports safety, health and environmental management at Kuehne + Nagel campus Kempen.

Your Responsibilities

  • Promote wellbeing at work;
    provide advice to operational managers, supervisors and employees in all matters related to safety and health;
  • Oversee the set-up and implementation of policies, programs and procedures related to well-being at work;
    in line with applicablelegislation and standards (ISO 45001), contractual commitments and Group’s global and regional guidelines;
  • Ensure risk assessments, accident and incident analyses are performed adequately and timely, and result in effective mitigation of potential hazards;
    perform inspections andassist in internal and external audits;
  • Contribute to the establishment and continuous improvement of the environmental management system (EMS) in accordance with applicable regulations and standards (ISO14001;
    assist in the set-up ofEMS programs;
    coordinate the development and maintenance of EMS procedures, training and record keeping;
    perform inspections, and support internal and external EMS audits;
  • Create awareness and positive acceptance of the SHE programs and ensure adherence throughout the organization;
    contribute to the communication;
    build awareness of HSE management in the company;
    oversee SHE training programs for new and existing employees;
    oversee the updating ofSHE-related working instructions;
  • Supportthe organization and the QSHE team by being aware of and adhering to the requirements of ISO 9001, GxP and quality related standards, internal procedures and work instructions. Facilitate the preparation and reporting of SHE metrics;

  • Contribute to the processing of nonconformances and follow-up actions;
    perform administrative tasks and assist in the preparation and meetings of the committee for well-being at work;

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience,
  • Certified Prevention Advisor level II and a previous experience in the role of prevention advisor are required;
    background and/or Special interest in safety and health regulations,
  • Remarkable communication skills, positive mindset and “can do” attitude;
    you are a team player, able to create consensus and also able to work independently when needed,
  • Excellent computer skills including Internet and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, …),
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
