Gentis - Senior Database Engineer

Description

My client is looking for a passionate and experienced PLSQL Developer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing medium to large-scale features end-to-end within and across domains. You will improve processes and frameworks, build solution building blocks, and act as the go-to person for one or more technologies. You will evangelize and research new innovative technologies and introduce them to the team.


Responsibilities
Design and deliver medium to large-scale features related to different system components, including analyzing, designing, coding, and testing systems.
Own the production operation and monitoring of the system, ensuring it meets SLAs.
Ensure stability, continuity, and performance of systems under your responsibility.
Design and implement secure systems end-to-end with a focus on automation, test integration, reliability, and a DevOps mindset.
Create proofs of concept and develop conceptual models of new problem domains.
Optimize the integration with infrastructure and specify infrastructure needs.
Challenge and validate code, considering programming standards, security guidelines, and functional/non-functional requirements.
Ensure correct deployment in different environments.
Be available for incidents and on-call duties when required.
Recognize and surface risks and unknowns, keeping aligned with bigger picture goals.
Validate technical documentation.

Competencies:
You are a senior in the database system Oracle (DBA knowledge or thorough performance-linked knowledge)
You are senior as a PL/SQL devloper
You have experience in the Financial markets (Derivatives/REPO/Clearing &
Settlement)
