We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team of consultants working for our clients in the energy sector. As Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and analyzing the international energy market, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational excellence at our clients.


Key responsibilities
Utilize your expertise in Python and data analytics to extract insights from complex datasets and develop predictive models.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide actionable recommendations based on analytical findings.
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using PowerBI to visualize key performance indicators and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Demonstrate a strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on the overarching goals of projects and initiatives.
Apply a pragmatic, problem-solving approach to address challenges and optimize operational processes.
Embrace a culture of operational excellence by continuously improving methodologies and workflows.

Qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering, Informatics or Economics with a demonstrated interest in the energy sector, or equivalent through experience.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Python or VBA and data analytics is essential;
knowledge of PowerBI isa strong advantage.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand and master complex processes.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a results-oriented approach to achieving objectives.
Fluency in Dutch or French, with adequate knowledge of the other language, and proficient in English both orally and in writing.
Fluent communication style with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
